Tusco Youth Trap Shooters 2016
We will be having our Youth Trap Shoots again this summer. There have been a couple changes this year so as to more closely align ourselves with those wishing to shoot in the ATA/AIM leagues. Our age group this year goes from 8 years old until 21 years old. If you are 21 when the season starts, you may continue shooting with the youth group for the entire season.
As was last year, all equipment will be provided by the club as well as 12 ga. and 20 ga. shot shells, clay targets and necessary safety equipment to the participate. If the youth wishes to use a shotgun in any other guage, they must provide the gun and their own shot shells for that gun. Per range rules, no larger shot than #6 may be used on the range and absolutely no slugs.
Another change this year is our shooting day and time slot. Our regular season will begin on Monday evening, April 4 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm. If by chance we get rained out on Monday evening, we will be shooting on the following Saturday morning from 9 am until 11 am.
We need to have your child's registration form in by March 10, 2016. (This is the same night as the March general meeting at Tusco, so come and stay for the meeting too.)
On Friday, March 18th, at 7 pm there will be an orientation and safety meeting at the main club house. Participating youth MUST attend this meeting before they can shoot. It is recommended that at least one parent or guardian be present with the participant.
On Saturday, March 19th, there will be an "Introduction to Trap Shooting" clinic for any participants that did not shoot with our group last year.
We will need the registration form filled out and we must have a hold harmless form signed (per our insurance carrier) before your child can participate.
Again this year there will be no cost to the parents or kids participating, as this activity is being funded by Tusco Rifle Club and a Friends of the NRA grant! The only cost to you is the time and gas you spend with your child as they participate in a wholesome, fun activity instead of in front of the x-box.

May 2, 16 & 23 - Regular shoots

August 1, 15 & 21 Regular shoots
We will be trying to put together a competition match between us and the Civil Air Patrol cadets again this year as well as the possibility of some other groups. If by chance you are not a club member but would like to see your child get involved in an activity such as trap shooting, then now is the time to join Tusco Rifle Club so you and your child(ren) can enjoy many hours of clean, wholesome fun together. We hope to see all of the kids back again this year as well as a lot of new faces.
